Oh boy…

After 15 hours, three flights, and zero sleep I finally made it to “The Golden Rock”!

A view from Statia

I began my journey yesterday at roughly four in the morning when my mom drove me to the airport. Upon arrival, I went into an instant panic due to the insane amount of people clogging the check in desks. Somehow I managed to quickly move through the lines, get my boarding pass, quickly give my mother a hug and went on my way. I somehow glided through TSA where I was told by a worker “you’re very happy this morning”, I was not, and ran to my flight.

Exiting flight in St. Maarten

From Nashville to Charlotte to St. Maarten I kept my eyes shut during every small amount of turbulence (for those that don’t know I have a slight amount of anxiety when flying). But, it was my final flight, the tiny plane of Winair, that really shook me. Somehow, the barely held together plane landed and I arrived at my tropical paradise! I was greeted by my friend and, for the next three months, boss, Fred who informed me that he’s making dinner. After that we made our way up to SECAR, my home for the next three months.
